I have not been kegging for long, started end of November last year.
Recently got my second keg. (Corny kegs)
So I used the formula.
Beer line length = (keg Pressure -tap positive pressure - (height/2))/ resistance
height = tap height above keg
resistance = resistance of beer line. ( tap one foot above keg.)
Using 3/16 vinyl = 3 psi per foot resistance
I have a gas manifold which has a 2 psi pressure loss.
Beer line length = (12 - 1 - 1/2)/3 = 3.5 feet = 1.067 meters
Using 1.1 meter beer line length.
Regulator set to 14 psi (2psi loss on manifold).
When pouring I get 25% beer and 75% foam.
I have increased my bear line length to 1.4 meters still the same.
As a test after pouring first beer, immediately poured a second 40% beer and 60% foam.
I have placed my temperature probe in a sealed jar of water. Still I get the same results.
I am at a loss why, any suggestions / advice welcome.
